The History of Summit Fire

The Summit Fire District was the result of the merger between the
Doney Park Fire District and the Timberline-Fernwood Fire
District in 2001 and the merger of Summit Fire District and Fort
Valley Fire District in October 2009.

Summit Fire District has a five person Fire Board that is elected.
Each seat on the Fire Board has a term of four years.  We serve
approximately 9500 residents and protect 90 square miles.  Within
the fire district we have three Coconino County Supervisory
Districts. Carl Taylor for District 1, Liz Archuletta for District 2
and Mandy Metzger for District 4.

Cromer Elementary School is within our district located at 7150
North Silver Saddle Road. The school has a population of
    approximately 750 students.
